Sychryd Waterfalls in the Breacon Beacons is probably one of the best place we’ve been to see a waterfall if you have mobility issues. Its a short yet stunning walk on a fairly flat path.
Sychryd Waterfalls
It’s a 15min walk there and 15 back to the falls. You will need more robust wheels so don’t rock up with your battered Graco pushchair and wonder why the fuck you can’t push it without spilling your can of Strongbow you stuck in the cup holder.
It can get muddy especially if you visit in the Autumn months when the falls are at their best. So again suitable footwear would be advisable. Make sure you keep a hold of the kids too because when the waters roaring it can be dangerous. Seems like this neck if the woods give no fucks about health and safety for those challenged by common sense. I personally think it’s fantastic.
More About The Falls
As I’ve already mentioned, the route is fairly flat. The car park right next to the entrance to the walk and there are a lot’s of other walks in the area too. Th car parking is free by the way but if you do plan to go get there early because its a very popular area so will fill up quickly.
There are cracking views all the way along and you’ll probably get to watch some of the rock climbers like we did too.
I haven’t really got a lot else to say. the place pretty much speaks for itself.
